Karen and Gary’s wedding was one of my best memories as a wedding photographer. We have met 3 times all together, the interview, the couple shoot and the wedding day. Only one of those days I managed to stay sober which was the wedding day.
The day was like a roller-coaster of emotions, laughter, joy, rush, anxiety looking for lost kid, joy finding the lost kid, love, reunions that were so difficult for some but so precious, and beauty of love that survived all the turmoil’s, love of two people who lived together for over 20 years, been there, done that, had a grown-up child together. The magic of this wedding wasn’t the promise of happy ever after. It was the love that survived it all already and was ready for more, the love despite of it all with all the craziness about it. It was an authentic celebration. One of the most meaningful marriage ceremonies I have ever witnessed in my life. Honoured to be the one who got to capture this beautiful day and be there with this bunch of crazy Irish people.
